Water Stain On Marble Floor

Water stain on marble floor. Make a natural poultice to remove stains if there is a stain though we haven t yet had one in here i make a natural marble poultice from mixing baking soda and water to create a paste smear the paste over the stain and cover it with cling wrap to keep the poultice in place. Since marble is softer than other natural stones such as granite it is more susceptible to staining from cooking and spills. Add enough water to 1 4 cup baking soda to make a paste the consistency of peanut butter. The problem is most likely a bad installation and or cracks or voids in the grout allowing water to get trapped behind the tiles where it cannot evaporate. Wet stone is always darker in color so the white marble tiles become gray and stay gray since they are saturated with water.

Drizzle a few drops of dish soap over a damp cleaning rag. If the marble tile is exposed to a constant source of water or if the floor was flooded and water is trapped beneath the tiles it can saturate the marble exposing the iron deposits to water. In most cases this should be sufficient to remove the water stains however if this does not work then we recommended trying a marble cleaner specifically designed to remove hard water. Spray the polishing powder 2 to 3 times with the spray bottle to dampen the polishing powder.
