Water Spill On Sisal Carpet

Place sisal rugs in heavy traffic areas such as entryways but avoid rooms where spills are common such as the kitchen and dining room.
Water spill on sisal carpet. Never rub the area of the spill as the aim is to absorb as much as you can into the cloth and not spread it further into the carpet. Method a mop up the spill immediately with an un dyed paper towel or clean un dyed cloth. Blend just a couple of drops of liquid dish washing detergent with a quart of warm water and add it to a spray bottle. Brush or sponge the discolored area with small amounts of detergent or carpet shampoo and lukewarm water.
Remove excess water from the sisal rug by blotting with paper towels. Once you ve tested an area follow these steps. Blot the sisal rug do not rub or scrub it. Do not allow the area to stay.
Apply a small amount of the detergent to the stain but avoid saturating the fabric. If the liquid spill is likely to stain then the use of a cloth made damp with carbonated water can really help to lift the stain out. To do this blot at a spill with a white cloth to avoid colour transfer. Blot with a clean cloth.
Brush or sponge up the stained area with a bit of carpet shampoo dissolved in lukewarm water. If you do spill on sisal clean it right away with a minimal. Vacuum your sisal rug to remove surface dirt dust and debris. Dry the carpet quickly as with a hair dryer.
Make sure that the shampoo has a neutral ph factor. Apply a fine mist of cleaning solution approved for. Do not saturate the area.
